The Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Board has approved Andrew Pimental for membership in our club. Welcome, Andrew! Here's a short biography on Andrew:
Andrew was born and raised in Colorado, near the small town of Castle Rock. Andrew attended Colorado State University where he received two degrees, a bachelors in Sports Medicine and a Masters in Exercise Physiology. Began his career in the Recreation industry in 1998 in a small town in Southwestern Colorado named Pagosa Springs. Shortly after that he moved back to the Denver area and for eight years worked for one of the top award winning special park districts in the Denver area. He then moved his career to Special District Management and ran the GVR Metropolitan District in Northeast Denver for 5 years. Andrew met his wife Kristin Anderson in 2007 and with Kristin being a Minnesota native, they decided to move the family back to Minnesota in summer of 2013. Andrew and Kristin have three daughters: Elin age 5 and twins Amelia and Olivia age 2.
Most recently Andrew worked for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and now Andrew serves the City of Eagan as their Director of Parks and Recreation since May of 2016.
Andrew is passionate about serving others through his job and during his leisure time. He helped establish the Far Northeast Denver Optimist Club in 2011 and served as the Charter President until moving to Minnesota. Andrew enjoys the outdoors with his hobbies being fishing, hunting, camping and golf.
