Dianne Miller has proudly worked for the City of Eagan for 16 years. She is the Assistant City Administrator, overseeing several departments within the City, including Human Resources, Information Technologies, Elections and City Clerk functions. She also is the City’s point person on recycling and airport relations. Eagan Forward has been an effort under Dianne’s leadership, as she has a keen interest in community and employee engagement.

Dianne grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degree in public administration from St. Mary’s University. She went on to earn her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas.

Dianne discovered her passion for public service and community engagement through experience such as working with the Red Cross, interning with local communities, and wielding an ax to dig trenches for water pipes in Guatemala. Her formal career began in the City of Overland Park, Kansas during graduate school. She then had the privilege of beginning her fulltime local government career in the City of Eagan in 2001, where she continues to serve today.

Dianne has been married for 13 years to her husband, Justin, who is the City Administrator of Lakeville and a fellow Rotarian. They are blessed with four spirited daughters, ranging in age from a new middle schooler to a head-strong two year old. The family dog, Sherman, is a neurotic but lovable Goldendoodle.

Away from the office, Dianne is a bit of a sports junkie and typically can be found on the sidelines of her kids’ soccer games, cheering on her Kansas Jayhawk basketball team, or walking the trails throughout Eagan’s parks and neighborhoods.
