Volunteers Needed to Help IHCC Students with the Career Path

Inver Hills Community College and Eagan Kick Start Rotary Club will be hosting a Career Dar at IHCC on Tuesday October 25 from 11 to 2 on the campus. We need volunteers to speak in small group breakout sessions to talk about their career path and how they have become the professional that they are. The goal is to help students see beyond college and what the future could be for them. All types of careers can be represented at the breakout session. We want to engage the student to keep making progress to a college degree and help them see the payoff for their hard work. See either Eric Swanson or Dave Verbeke to volunteer.

We had a great turnout during our meeting last Thursday to hear Kevin Warren from the Vikings speak about their plans for the new World Headquaters in Eagan. Please make sure to follow up with your guest about their interest in joining Rotary. Please get their contact information to Mark Bonstrom or Barry Minsker so we can thank them for attending our meeting.

Camp Enterprise needs 2 great Eagan Students

We are excited to announce that Camp Enterprise 2016 will be held Thursday, October 27th through Saturday, October 29th, at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi. Camp Enterprise is open to high school juniors and seniors in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Currently juniors and seniors who are interested in attending Camp Enterprise are encouraged to contact Doreen Runquist at run4sju@yahoo.com to express interest. We are currently accepting applicants and will select two students from Eagan High School to attend. The Eagan Kick Start Rotary will pay the fee of the camp.

Monthly Social at Bald Man Brewing

nvite your friends and neighbors to our monthly social at Eagan's newest and only brew pub. This is a great opportunity to sample their craft beers and socialize with our friends from the Noon Club and potential new members. The owner's have graciously volunteered to donate 50% of the proceeds that night to our club's Polio Plus goal. Additional donations will be accepted that night.

We'd love to see your smiling face

Our club website is our window to the world. It helps us brand our club and attract new members. It also serves as a welcome to other clubs to see who we are and what we are about. Through Clubrunner, other Rotary clubs can view our members and their contact information. This can be beneficial to your social and professional networks. Within the membership area you can update your contact information, create a biography and upload a picture. Of our 24 members, 8 of you have not uploaded a picture. Please login to Clubrunner, review your contact informaton, create a bio and upload a picture. We would like to get to 100% by the end of the quarter. Thanks for your help!

August 25th Update- No progress toward our goal....

Videographer Needed to Document our Club Activities

Our overworked and underpaid webmaster needs some help to keep our website and newsletters fresh and vibrant! We need 2 or 3 helpers to take photos at meetings and events and upload those images to ClubRunner. From that library I can update the website and create all sorts of flashing, eye catching photo montages to keep our website new and appealing. We need several people to help out to cover meetings and events since not everyone can make it to every meeting. See Dave Verbeke if you'd like to help out. I will set up a lead and two backups to document the history that we are creating!
