Eagan Kick-Start Rotary celebrated the induction of Carol Wirsbinski at our April 26 meeting.
I grew up in a small town in north central Wisconsin, Mosinee. I graduated with a BBA from UW-Eau Claire and entered the telecommunications industry. I spent nearly all of my career in the communications industry in various roles including CEO of CitiLink, COO of Hickory Tech/Enventis and most recently, CSO of Consolidated Communications Inc. I completed my career in technology at the end of 2017 fulfilled and eager to be moving to a new challenge.
Currently I serve on the board of The Open Door, Dakota County’s largest food shelf, and I serve as the Chair of the development committee. I am excited to be building relationships within the local community with so many willing and engaged community members.
I live in Eagan with my husband Bill of 33 years. We are blessed to have two wonderful adult children, Luke and Justin. While our boys do not live in the metro area, we build family memories at our cabin in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin with many family members. We all enjoy the outdoors, being on the water and sharing laughs while relaxing on the lake.
My interests and hobbies include biking, running, walking and being outdoors. Additionally, I relish conversations with acquaintances, both new and long time friends sharing interesting discussions about our world.
I am excited about the next chapter of my life which will be less about technology and more about building and enjoying relationships of good and productive people. These are the people who show up. These are the people who make the world a better place.
