Eagan Kick-Start Rotary welcomes its new president, Andrew Pimental!
Andrew Pimental serves as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Eagan, Minnesota, where he leads the planning, development, and management of one of Minnesota's premier park and recreation systems. Since joining the City in May of 2016, Andrew has championed innovative, inclusive, and sustainable parks, recreation facilities, and community programs that continue to enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages and abilities. With more than 25 years of experience in parks and recreation leadership, he is passionate about creating vibrant public spaces, fostering community connections, and ensuring Eagan's parks and recreation system continues to evolve to meet the needs of a growing, changing and diverse community.
Andrew joined the Eagan Kickstart Rotary Club in 2016, and loves applying his “people skills” with this fun and vibrant group of community focused members each day. The Rotary International motto for 2026-2027 is “Creating Lasting Impact” and this fits nicely with how Andrew has approached not only his job, but his time in service organizations, and his personal life. Do great things that last the test of time!
In his free time away from Rotary and work, Andrew spends a lot of time at the ballpark or indoor court watching his three daughters (Elin, Amelia and Olivia) play softball and volleyball. Andrew has been married to his wife Kristin for 16 years as of July 3.
