Kick-Start Volunteers at The Open Door
On Thursday Aug 2 Eagan Kick-Start has committed to providing a team of 6-7 volunteers to The Open Door to assist in client grocery shopping and checkout. Clients arrive beginning at 5:30pm; volunteers should arrive 20 minutes early for orientation. Spouses/partners are welcome.
Drive Away Hunger
Love to golf? Hate food insecurity? Then this is the event for you.
Lost Spur will host a golf tourney to benefit The Open Door on Saturday Aug 4 from 1-6pm.
$60 per person includes:
  • Golf
  • Cart
  • Prime Rib Dinner (dinner or golf only also avail)

Districts 5950 and 5960 are hosting a Rotary Race Day!
Live horse racing, silent auction, kid’s activities, and cards!
 
Who:     Everyone is welcome! Bring your friends, family and kids!
When:   Friday, August 10, 2018
Where:  Canterbury Park - Silks Party Area (1100 Canterbury Rd, Shakopee)
Time:    Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Live racing starts at 6:30 p.m.
Cost:     $10.00 per ticket which includes admission, hot dog and soda. (coupon will be handed out at event)
              Children 17 and under are free, but must buy $10 ticket if they want a hot dog and soda.
How:     Purchase tickets from any Rotary Club President
100% of ticket sales will benefit Polio Plus!
Support the Arts in Eagan (Part 1)
Caponi Art Park hosts the HeART of the PARK fundraiser on Friday Aug. 17 from 5:30-8:30pm.
This first annual fundraiser will run in conjunction with Caponi's final ‘Round the Bend concert of the season featuring Sawtooth Brothers with Stanton West.
 
There are two types of tickets available: 
1. VIP: $65
2. General Admission: $15 (children 12 and under are free)
VIP tickets include designated parking, special seating, dinner and drinks provided by ZZQ Smokehouse and much more! There are a limited number of VIP tickets available! Make sure to get yours now before they run out!
General admission tickets give you all the same great music and access to purchase beer from Bald Man Brewing and food from the evening’s food trucks, O’Cheeze, Northbound Smokehouse and Nothing Bundt Cakes, that you are used to.

Art Works Eagan hosts Come Together, a 1970s-themed fundraiser on Sat. Aug 25 from 7-10pm.
Proceeds will be earmarked for a long-deferred but urgently-needed roof replacement.
The evening will include:
  • Refreshments, appetizers, and a cash bar
  • Artist demonstrations
  • Dancing to some smooth tunes in the Performance Hall
  • Photo op in a vintage 70s car
  • And most importantly, meet other wonderful members of our community that make us great

Eagan Kick-Start Rotary tries to pair each new member with a mentor to help them navigate some of the Rotary websites and answer any questions.
